About me
My name is Alex Luch.
I am originally from Ukraine, moved to Boston area of the United States and lived there from 1994 to 2023. In the summer of 2023 I moved with my family and pets to Tbilisi area of Georgia (country). I am working to capture details of my move to Georgia in my personal blog, https://mymovetogeorgia.com/
I spent last 20+ years in IT, helping some of the largest US Enterprises and a number of startups reach their business goals.
I worked at Amazon/AWS from 2017 to 2022 in a variety of roles, as Sr Technical Account Manager, Sr Technical Program Manager and Enterprise Support Lead. Due to move to Georgia I left Amazon and switched to a consulting role, where I could work remotely during my move.
My technology focus has been in the Enterprise Architecture and Engineering field, both cloud (AWS) and traditional Enterprise Infrastructure and Data Center technologies. At AWS my focus has been in Resilience and Disaster Recovery solutions on AWS platform, as well as assisting customers with cost optimization, migrations, Architecture reviews and various Support related issues.
My work history details can be found on my LinkedIn page.
My sweet spot position combines leadership responsibilities, Enterprise cloud architecture, business area responsibilities and some hands-on technical work.
During my professional career I worked on solutions for a wide variety of companies, including Amazon Robotics, AWS, CVS Health, State Street Corp, IBM, World Wrestling Entertainment, Major League Baseball, Corning Inc, Gillette, Polaroid, Shire Pharmaceuticals and many others.
My personal interests include hiking, kayaking, fishing, consumer drones, photography & videography, gardening and cooking/grilling. I have a Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot license from FAA and a Technician class amateur radio license from FCC (USA).
